The self-powered sensor easily attaches to your boat battery to monitor your battery voltage, relaying measurements to the Oversea app and sending you alerts if the voltage level drops too low.
Description
The Oversea Battery Sensor is a self-powered wireless sensor which attaches to the terminals of your boat battery and monitors the battery’s voltage level, so you can know that your boat is fully charged and ready to go when you want to take it out.
The Battery Sensor samples the battery’s voltage every 15 minutes and relays the voltage level to the Oversea Hub using a long-range radio frequency (RF) connection. The Hub relays the battery data to the Oversea app on your mobile phone, and generates alerts in the app, by e-mail and/or by SMS if the battery voltage is too low or is declining too rapidly.
Each sensor will monitor one boat battery. Because of the long range of the sensor’s RF connection, you can use a single Hub to monitor batteries on more than one boat, provided the other boats are close by
The Battery Sensor is small (2.75″ x 3.75″ x 1.15″), lightweight (5.5 oz.) and built to withstand harsh marine conditions (IP65/67). It is powered by 2 off-the-shelf replaceable AA batteries, which provide 5 to 10 years of operation per set of batteries.
The sensor ships with a plug-in battery cable kit, as well as with screws, Velcro tape and magnets to mount the sensor on the boat.
Remember, Oversea devices require a subscription to activate, and currently only provides monitoring for boats located in the United States. You’ll find more information on subscription rates in the adjacent subscription tab.
Subscription Information
Oversea subscription costs are determined by the number of devices in your Oversea network and whether you opt for an 1-year or 2-year subscription. All subscriptions are paid in advance for the selected term and will auto-renew unless canceled. You will receive advance notice of any renewal.
A subscription is necessary to connect your Oversea devices to the mobile app. Subscriptions are purchased through the Oversea app as part of the setup process for each device.
